WorkBC provides guidance and support to help job seekers who are unemployed and legally allowed to work in BC to enhance their employment readiness and develop the skills needed to effectively navigate the labour market. Rather than finding work for clients, WorkBC teaches individuals how to search for employment, connect with opportunities, and succeed in achieving their career goals.

Services include access to a self-serve resource area open to all individuals in BC, offering career and job search resources, job postings, career-related books, labour market information, and access to computers, the internet, phones, photocopiers, and scanners.

Once eligibility is established, in-person supports include career exploration and labour market information, job search resources, virtual workshops, and self-assessment tools. WorkBC also offers job search workshops, essential skills training to enhance employment readiness, short-term training to meet minimum entry requirements or develop job-specific skills, and self-employment services.
